Job summary

Avon Court Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is recruiting a Maintenance Officer to keep the home safe, well maintained and fully operational. You will undertake a wide range of building and grounds tasks and coordinate with the Home Manager to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical/building upkeep, and a proactive, reliable approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A proactive and practical approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep.
• Ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, identifying issues early and taking action.
• Work with the Home Manager and wider team to support maintenance planning and contractor coordination.
• Maintain a well organised, safe and fully functional environment in line with health and safety standards.
