Job summary

St Philips Care Group seeks a Maintenance Operative for Bank – Kippen House Care Centre to help maintain a busy residential home. You will carry out day-to-day maintenance of the building, services and grounds to keep the home safe, functional and well presented.

You will have a flexible approach, solid DIY skills, ability to prioritise workload and experience with heating systems and basic electrical appliances. Full training provided and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to work.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• High standard of DIY including internal and external decoration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with outside agencies.
• Understanding of heating systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical appliances.
• Ability to maintain accurate inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance as required throughout the home.
• Ensure the home is in good decorative order at all times.
• Ensure all external areas and grounds are kept tidy and well maintained.
• Supervise outside contractors.
• Minimise costs by monitoring energy consumption and maintaining records.
• Upkeep all health and safety records and testing of appliances and items.
• Respond to emergency situations within the home.
