Job summary

Springcare Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Person for our care home in the United Kingdom. The role involves varied day-to-day tasks, from furniture assembly to routine safety and building checks, underlining a commitment to a safe, well-maintained environment for residents.

You will perform preventative maintenance, basic plumbing and carpentry, painting, and ensure checks of fire safety equipment. Training and development opportunities are available, with DBS and right-to-work verification

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance and general building repairs (locks, doors, fittings).
• Perform routine checks on equipment and services (fire alarms, extinguishers, doors, maintenance logs).
• Do minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
• Paint and decorate as needed.
• Keep exterior areas clean and free from trip hazards.
• Replace bulbs and stock related items.
• Test lights and equipment before weekends/bank holidays.
• Provide meter readings for utilities and boilers.
