Job summary

Avon Court Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is hiring a Maintenance Operative to keep the home safe and fully functional. You will perform repairs, inspections and installations across the building and grounds, coordinating with the Home Manager as needed.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, reliability, and a proactive approach to safety and upkeep, with enhanced DBS and uniform provided as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role.
• Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A proactive and practical approach.
• Reliable, organised and able to problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds.
• Carry out repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep.
• Ensure equipment and systems are safe and functioning properly.
• Support maintenance planning and contractor coordination where required.
• Maintain a well organised, safe environment aligned with health and safety standards.
