Job summary

Aria Court Care Home in March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for residents, staff and visitors. You will work with the Maintenance Operative to carry out checks and respond to repair requests with care and professionalism.

The role offers a 40-hour week on a rota, £12.71 per hour, and a range of benefits including a thorough induction, 28 days' holiday, and access to the Blue Light discount platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance role is essential.
• Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance checks and keep the home safe and well-presented.
• Carry out minor repairs and plumbing in a timely manner.
• Maintain the refuse area and manage removal of clinical waste and rubbish.
• Ensure electrical equipment and boiler house are serviced and repaired when needed.
• Perform weekly, monthly and annual tests of equipment and systems.
