Athena Care Homes’ Aria Court Care Home in March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a Maintenance Operative to keep the home safe and well-presented for residents and staff.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will conduct repairs, maintain electrical and plumbing systems, and support a high standard of service across the home. The role is 40 hours per week on a rota with an induction and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and related systems.
• Good computer skills to complete reporting duties.

About the role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring all maintenance checks are conducted, and that the home is a safe environment for residents, team members and visitors whilst maintaining a high quality of service within the home.

Salary:
Competitive, depending on skills and experience.

Shift Pattern:
40 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all minor repairs and plumbing are fixed within a timely manner.
• Ensure that all electrical equipment, drainage systems and the boiler house is maintained and repaired if required.
• Ensure that the decoration of the home is to the highest standard and snagging items dealt with in a timely manner.
• Overall responsibility for carrying our weekly tests of the emergency systems within the home.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience within a similar maintenance role, ideally within a healthcare environment, is essential.
• Excellent written, non-verbal and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of and competence in building maintenance.
• Good computer skills in order to complete reporting duties.
