Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is looking for a Head of Maintenance to lead our care home’s maintenance, gardens and grounds, keeping a clean and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You’ll manage a small team, fix a range of issues, liaise with contractors, and support the General Manager with annual budgeting. A full UK driving licence, hands-on trade experience, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of property maintenance.
• At least one trade skill.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and oversee repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Liaise with contractors for specialist works outside the team’s scope.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
