Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for Furzewood Lodge, a 75-bed care home in South Oxhey, Watford. The role covers painting, basic repairs, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You’ll join a compassionate team at a newly opened home, with weekend duties paid at a higher rate and opportunities for training and progression. Apply with your relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services roles.
• Ability to carry out basic repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
• Proactive approach to identify and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Commitment to safe, clean and well-presented environments.
• Good communication with residents, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills for reporting maintenance issues and records.

Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating.
• Conduction minor repairs.
• Replacing light bulbs and fixtures.
• Hanging pictures and fittings.
• Repairing or replacing door furniture.
• Installing shelves and TV brackets.
• Replacing ceiling tiles as needed.
• Carrying out routine inspections and reporting needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Cleaning outdoor areas and assisting with moving furniture as required.
• Undertaking additional duties to support home operations.
