Interaction Recruitment is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant for an ongoing care home role in Reigate. You will support the kitchen and care home team with daily meals and refreshments for residents, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and resident care.

Experience in kitchen or care settings, good food hygiene practices, and an Enhanced DBS (Update Service) are essential for this role. Flexible full-time/part-time hours are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in kitchen, catering or care setting is essential.
• Good awareness of food hygiene and safe working practices.
• Reliable and flexible with strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and presentation of meals and refreshments.
• Support kitchen team during breakfast, lunch and evening services.
• Prepare dining areas and ensure timely meal delivery to residents.
• Wash and clean crockery, utensils and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation and deliveries as needed.
• Keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently.
• Provide friendly, respectful service to residents.
