Job summary

Harbour Healthcare Group, a family‑run care home group in the UK, is seeking an HR Business Partner to join the People Team in Exeter. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive engagement and welfare, and build leadership capability across the portfolio of care homes.

You will coach managers, develop HR policies, and champion DEI. CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) is preferred; benefits include training, progression, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements/legislation/guidance and best practice in line with CQC.
• Experience of writing policies and procedures (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with current regulations, policies and legislation (including data protection, Equality Act and health and safety).
• Drive continuous improvement with focus on engagement and welfare, maximising productivity and leadership capability.
• Support in transforming and strengthening organisational culture and DEI initiatives.
• Provide professional support and guidance to managers to manage workforce issues.
• Support development of HR policies across Harbour Healthcare in consultation with senior managers and staff.
• Coaching, mentoring and supporting staff to identify strengths and development needs while promoting a diverse, inclusive culture.
• Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees.
• Consult with management on performance and leadership matters and needs assessments.
