Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Weston-super-Mare invites applications for a Housekeeping Assistant at Acer House Care Home. You will maintain cleanliness and laundry standards and work to standard operating procedures while respecting residents' dignity and belongings.

The role runs 08:00–16:00 shifts with alternate weekends and requires a DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK; training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards throughout the home
• Work as part of a team to keep hotel service standards in the home
• Operate to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry
• Carry out cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions
• Apply knowledge of surfaces, coverings and cleaning materials so areas are well presented and in good condition
• Treat residents with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings
