Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join Avery House Care Home in Somerset. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry, following operating procedures and ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect.

The role requires knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling, fire safety, and COSHH, plus experience in cleaning laundry in public settings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service for residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover short-notice responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry to maintain hotel-like service standards.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their space and belongings are respected.
• Work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness across the home.

About the Role

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained. Other responsibilitieswillinclude: Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance with worksheetinstructions. Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition. Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
