Job summary

Strode Park Foundation is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for Strode Park House in Herne Bay. This full-time, permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week at an hourly rate of £14.42. You will lead the housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

You will plan rotas, manage supplies, and uphold COSHH and infection-control standards, while collaborating with maintenance to address hazards and equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Cleaning experience required.
• Ability to lead domestic and laundry teams.
• Reliable and flexible.
• Willing to follow instructions for safe chemical use.
• Experience in a care home setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise housekeeping and laundry colleagues through training and rotas.
• Inspect resident rooms and shared spaces to ensure high standards.
• Embed infection-control, health and safety, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Manage stock, equipment, uniforms and budgets to keep operations running smoothly.
• Cover housekeeping or laundry tasks when needed to stay hands-on.
• Collaborate with maintenance to report hazards and faulty equipment.
