Job summary

Hesketh Park Lodge Care Home in Southport, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, support laundry duties, and help ensure residents’ dignity and daily wellbeing.

This role is contracted to 30 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with DBS paid, pension and uniform provided, plus 5.6 weeks annual leave. You will work alternate weekends and follow infection control and health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and organisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing; ensure items are labeled.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work alternate weekends to cover rota and maintain service delivery.
