Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Bourn View Care Home in Bournville, Birmingham. You will work as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry across the home, following our SOPs and delivering hotel-style service to residents.

Key qualities include care, compassion, and reliability. You should have knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling, and COSHH; experience in cleaning in a public setting is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high‑quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Aufgaben

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
