Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Knowle Gate Care Home in Knowle. You will join a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry, following our SOPs to deliver hotel-style service while respecting residents’ dignity.

The role requires knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving & Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH, plus cleaning laundry in a public setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, including Fire Safety, COSHH and Moving & Handling.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping for residents.
• Flexible and adaptable to cover a range of duties at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials to maintain presentation.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal spaces are respected.
