Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Knowle Gate Care Home in Knowle. You will support cleanliness and laundry services across the home, following standard procedures to maintain hotel-like service standards.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of safety and COSHH, experience with cleaning laundry in public settings, and a compassionate approach to resident care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, moving and handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and keep areas well presented.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and their personal space respected.
