The Fairways care home in Chippenham, run by MHA, is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will support wellbeing by upholding high standards of cleanliness while respecting privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and communal areas, assisting with laundry, and ensuring odour-free surroundings. Training and progression opportunities are available within a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping/cleaning is essential.
• Training in health and safety is essential.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow cleaning routines and work independently.
• Sensitivity to the needs of older people.
• Flexible approach including on-call or emergency coverage.
• A QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Follow daily/weekly cleaning schedules to maintain high standards.
• Clean residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens and other areas.
• Ensure home is tidy, comfortable and odour-free at all times.
• Assist with laundry tasks, including bedding.
• Safely use, store and dispose of cleaning materials per COSHH and safety rules.
• Monitor equipment and report faults or arrange repairs.
• Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Respect residents' privacy and dignity at all times.
• Attend training, meetings and appraisals as required.
