Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking a Housekeeper for a charming Grade II listed Georgian home, with a maximum capacity of residents. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

You will be responsible for cleaning bedrooms and communal areas, ensuring high hygiene standards, and supporting residents' wellbeing in a homely setting. A caring, respectful and flexible approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a care setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning standards and hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and facilities.
• Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Change bed linen; keep bedrooms clean, fresh and comfortable.
• Keep communal spaces tidy and welcoming.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely.
• Report maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns.

The home features 26 individually decorated bedrooms, furnished to a high standard in a charming country-living style. Privately owned, the service provides a warm, comfortable, and caring environment where residents can enjoy a happy and fulfilling new chapter in their lives.

With a maximum capacity of 34 residents, the home prides itself on creating a close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. The care philosophy centres on compassion, family values, and creating a genuine sense of belonging.

The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will help ensure the home remains comfortable and hygienic, supporting residents' wellbeing and quality of life.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and other facilities.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Changing bed linen and ensuring bedrooms are clean, fresh, and comfortable.
• Keeping communal spaces tidy and welcoming.
• Following infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns.
• Respecting residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a homely environment.
