Job summary

The Priory Care Home in Chippenham, Wiltshire, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for part-time morning shifts. You will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across resident rooms, communal areas and staff spaces, working quietly and respectfully within residents’ spaces to create a homely environment.

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred, but full induction training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Full induction training provided.
• Eye for detail and pride in your work; friendly, discreet manner when around residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Clean communal areas including corridors, lounges, dining rooms and bathrooms.
• Launder, iron and manage residents’ clothing, bedding and linen.
• Follow all infection control procedures and COSHH guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues, damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Work respectfully, quietly and discreetly within residents’ personal spaces.
• Assist with the preparation of rooms for new residents as required.
