Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a General Manager for Acacia Mews Care Home in the UK. The role leads the home’s team to deliver person-centred care while controlling staffing, recruitment and budgets.

You’ll be the main contact for residents, relatives and health and social care professionals, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance. Applicants need at least four years in a similar care setting and a Level 5 leadership and management qualification.

Qualifications

• Four years' experience in a similar care environment.
• Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to manage by walking around and lead by example.

The job is to lead the home's team in delivering person-centred care while keeping staffing, recruitment and budgets under control. The manager is also the main contact for residents, relatives and health and social care professionals. Applicants need at least four years in a similar care setting and a Level 5 leadership and management qualification.

What the job involves

• Lead and inspire the team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care based on best practice
• Meet regulatory, professional and statutory standards and business performance targets
• Recruit, retain and develop staff within the home
• Act as the focal point for contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals
• Review and maintain safe staffing levels in line with occupancy and dependency
• Manage costs within budgetary controls, reviewing spending regularly and monitoring stock

Qualifications

• Leadership and Management Level 5 or equivalent
