Job summary

Barchester is seeking a Head of Maintenance for a care home to ensure a clean, well-maintained environment for residents and staff. You will lead a team, coordinate contractors, and manage a wide range of tasks from plumbing repairs to grounds maintenance, creating a welcoming and safe home.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, reliability and flexibility, with a UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English.

Qualifications

• Hands-on property maintenance experience.
• At least one trade skill.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literacy.
• GCSEs in Maths & English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team and schedule work orders.
• Liaise with contractors for external projects.
• Support General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Maintain building and gardens, ensuring safety and comfort for residents.
