Job summary

Northcare Scotland's Clarkston House Care Home in Glasgow is seeking a friendly Hospitality Assistant to support residents and visitors. You will serve meals, assist with dining room setup, and help keep kitchens and servery areas clean, while upholding high standards of hygiene and compassion.

The role is full‑time, based on a 7am–7pm rota (4 days one week, 3 days the next) with £13.45 per hour and 28 days of annual leave pro rata.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or catering is essential.
• A caring, friendly, and approachable personality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• Commitment to providing excellent service and supporting residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals, snacks, and refreshments to residents in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist with dining room preparation, table setting, and clearing away after meals.
• Support the housekeeping team in maintaining clean and tidy servery kitchen and communal areas.
• Manage waste and keep waste bins clean and tidy.
• Organise Tableware and cutlery.
• Manage food supplies and stock in kitchen.
• Follow required resident diet requirements, keeping paperwork and logs up to date.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control are maintained.
• Engage positively with residents, promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
• Work closely with care, kitchen, and housekeeping teams to provide an excellent resident experience.
