Job description

About the role

As our Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the care home to achieve or exceed goals while ensuring high-quality care. You will oversee the care staff and assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.

You will help train and supervise care staff, assist with pre-admission assessments, ensure care plans and records are up to date, and communicate effectively with residents' families and organizations.

Reports to: Home Manager

Skills and attributes

  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience.
  • Ability to engage with service users and understand their needs to provide excellent care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Good understanding of CQC standards.
  • Ability to build relationships with care professionals, families, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to involve service users and families in developing and evaluating care programs.

Education and qualification

  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience - essential.
