Job summary

Mary Rush Care Ltd in Drayton is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the daily operation of Badgers Wood care home, ensuring safe, person-centred care and regulatory compliance. You will work with the Registered Manager to guide staff and drive service improvements.

The role involves supervising a team, managing care plans, medication processes and on-call duties, with opportunities for professional development and progression within the organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification or willingness to work toward it.
• Strong safeguarding and risk management understanding.
• Experience supervising or leading staff in residential care.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager with daily leadership and home's management.
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing staff team.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, person-centred care for residents.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and staff development.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and records.
• Manage rota planning and staffing.
• Oversee medication administration and financial processes.
• Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and health and safety matters.
• Engage with families and external professionals to support residents.
