Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the care team and oversee daily operations in a Swindon-area care home. You will ensure safe, person-centred care, support the Registered Manager and cover in their absence as needed.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK, proven team leadership, and a QCF Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care, with a solid understanding of CQC standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Experience leading a team of care assistants.
• QCF Level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of CQC Key Lines of Enquiry and regulatory frameworks.
• Available to work 42 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead the care team to deliver safe, supportive and person-centred care.
• Conduct regular care audits and trigger reviews as needs change.
• Liaise with families, care professionals and residents to ensure holistic care.
• Monitor, report, and investigate safeguarding risks and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date administrative records, daily care notes and medication charts.
