Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association’s Sherwood House care home is looking for a Cook to plan and prepare nutritious meals for 19 residents. The 25-hour role covers lunch and dinner shifts every day, with weekends and bank holidays included.

You will manage stock and kitchen equipment, and work with volunteers to deliver high standards of food hygiene and resident satisfaction. Experience in catering for large groups and a customer-focused approach are essential, with willingness to

• Experience preparing meals for large groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan meals a week in advance in consultation with residents.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs.
• Lead the daily lunch and dinner service.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Manage stock, food orders and kitchen equipment.
• Support and be supported by kitchen assistants and volunteers.
• Respond flexibly to feedback from residents.
