BCG in Edzell, Scotland, is seeking a Chef to lead the kitchen team and deliver nutritious, balanced meals for residents in a care setting. You will manage stock, design menus, and ensure cost control while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires experience in a commercial kitchen, reliability, and the ability to cater to special dietary needs within the approved budget. PVG clearance and UK work authorization are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required, ideally within a care home setting.
• Reliable and fully competent in all kitchen duties, including catering for special dietary needs within budget.
• SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
• Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Good understanding of HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to prepare delicious, well-balanced meals for residents.
• Manage food stock and design menus while keeping within budget.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.
