Westward Care Limited is seeking a dedicated Care Home Chef to oversee the preparation and delivery of nutritious, high-quality meals for residents at Cedars Care Home, Methley LS26 9BH. The role emphasises strong culinary skills, food safety, and a warm, welcoming dining environment.

You will lead kitchen staff, manage dietary requirements, and liaise with residents to tailor menus. This position offers a good work‑life balance with alt. weekends off and a 7.30am–5pm shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Dedicated Cook with strong culinary skills and experience in managing a kitchen.
• Ability to lead a team and maintain high food safety standards.
• Experience handling dietary requirements and special diets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals for residents within budget and per menu.
• Lead and develop kitchen staff; ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Head Chef and staff to maintain service standards and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure accuracy of dietary information and accommodate individual resident needs.
• Support events and daily dining operations to create a welcoming dining environment.
