The role focuses on planning meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner, maintaining food safety and HACCP standards, and keeping the kitchen clean and well organised. Experience in high-volume catering and understanding of nutrition for older people are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or in catering.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Experience catering for large groups or high-volume service.
• Understanding dietary needs for older people.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present fresh, nutritious meals for residents.
• Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
• Cater for dietary requirements including allergies and textures.
• Ensure meals meet residents' preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and HACCP compliance.
• Complete daily food safety checks and temperature monitoring.
• Store food and cleaning products safely.
• Follow Health & Safety and safeguarding policies.
