Nurse Seekers is recruiting a Care Home Chef for a 30-bed residential care home in Churston, Brixham, Devon. The role offers 40 hours per week across four days, with shifts from 8am to 6pm and a salary of £26,832 per annum.

You will prepare nutritious, appetising meals, cater for dietary requirements, and ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety while working closely with care staff to support residents’ health and enjoyment.

Qualificações

• Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home or healthcare setting.
• Good knowledge of IDDSI and SFBB procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook nutritious, varied meals for residents.
• Plan meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Cater for special diets, allergies and intolerances.
• Follow IDDSI and modified-texture diets where required.
• Ensure meals are presented to residents’ needs and safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
• Monitor temperatures and keep accurate food safety records.
• Work with care staff to understand residents’ dietary needs.
