Marlborough Court Care Home is seeking a Chef to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents, considering dietary needs and medical conditions. The role focuses on food safety, hygiene, and presentation while contributing to residents’ wellbeing and satisfaction.

You will plan menus, prepare daily meals, monitor portions, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality dining experiences in a caring home environment.

Qualifications

• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and medical conditions.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
• Monitor portion sizes and manage food costs to minimise waste.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals according to menus and residents' dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are cooked to a high standard with good taste, appearance and nutrition.
• Adapt recipes for special diets (diabetic, low-sodium, gluten-free).
• Collaborate with Head Chef/Manager to develop menus using seasonal local produce.
• Incorporate residents' feedback to improve meal options.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff; participate in staff meetings.
