Job summary

Balhousie Care Group is seeking an experienced Chef to lead the kitchen in one of our care homes in Scotland. You will create delicious, nutritious meals, design menus, manage stock and budget, and ensure residents receive high‑quality food service with person-centred care.

You will supervise kitchen staff, cater for dietary needs, uphold cleanliness and hygiene to EHO standards, and work flexibly in a supportive, values‑driven team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required, ideally within a care home setting.
• Must be reliable and competent in all kitchen duties, including catering for special dietary needs.
• PVG check and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team to prepare delicious, nutritious meals.
• Design menus and manage food stock within budget.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene to EHO standards.
