Job summary

Barchester Healthcare in Gateshead is seeking an experienced Administrator to support the General Manager and lead the administration team. You will oversee Customer Experience, HR, Recruitment, Payroll, Finance and oversee junior staff while promoting a professional, welcoming environment for residents, families and staff.

The role requires strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), excellent organisation and the ability to handle multiple tasks, from inquiries and showrounds to payroll support

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Experience in HR administration and recruitment.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• CIPD qualification would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Manage inquiries and showrounds of the home for prospective families, including updating the customer database.
• Drive occupancy and reputation of the home as part of the community engagement team.
• Assist with staff recruitment and payroll preparation for home-based staff.
• Provide HR guidance and support to employees and ensure accurate records.
