Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Deputy Manager for the Llys Herbert home in Cardiff to provide leadership to nursing and care staff and oversee the delivery of high-quality pastoral care. You will deputise for the Home Manager, focusing on residents with complex needs and ensuring governance and best practices are followed.

The role offers route to development within Care UK’s expanding portfolio, with a clear focus on compassionate, patient-centred care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Must have proven line management experience in a care home setting.
• Ability to lead nursing and care colleagues and deliver high quality pastoral care.
• Strong governance, auditing and adherence to guidelines.

• Support and deputise for the Home Manager and provide inspirational leadership to nursing and care colleagues.
• Oversee the delivery of high quality pastoral care for residents, including those with complex needs.
• Audit practices and procedures regularly to maintain governance and standards.

What you'll do

Supporting and deputising for the Home Manager, you will provide inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality pastoral care.

You will focus on residents with complex needs, so it's vital that you can conform with the latest guidelines, take far-reaching decisions and maintain the highest levels of governance, whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures.

Who you are

As a proven line manager in a care home setting, you will be keen to develop your leadership skills and knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families, and determined to drive continuous improvement.
