Job summary

Care UK is seeking a Deputy Manager for Oak House in Slough. You will support and deputise for the Home Manager, providing inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and overseeing high-quality pastoral care for residents.

You will work with residents with complex needs, ensure governance and auditing of practices, and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have proven line management in a care home and a passion for compassionate, person-centred care.

What you’ll do

Supporting and deputising for the Home Manager, you will provide inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality pastoral care.
You will focus on residents with complex needs, so it’s vital that you can conform with the latest guidelines, take far-reaching decisions and maintain the highest levels of governance, whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures.

Who you are

As a proven line manager in a care home setting, you will be keen to develop your leadership skills and knowledge, capable of building close relationships with residents and their families, and determined to drive continuous improvement.
