Job summary

MITIE GROUP PLC is seeking caring and respectful individuals to join our Care & Custody teams at Strathaven. You will support residents through end-to-end care, safety, and welfare within a regulated setting, delivering high standards of service under supervision.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Training is provided with 7 weeks classroom ITC followed by 12 months of on-the-job development.

Qualifications

• Be a UK citizen or eligible to work in the UK.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no disqualifications in the past 5 years.
• Prepared to undergo Enhanced DBS check and vetting (CTC) if offered a role.
• All-round eligibility checks including residency in the UK for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end management of residents' needs until Home Office case outcome.
• Work in a high risk, highly regulated environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Provide a safe, dignified, respectful environment and effective staff-resident engagement.
• Complete initial ITC training and ongoing on-the-job mentoring for Care & Custody
