MITIE GROUP PLC at Strathaven, South Lanarkshire is recruiting a Detention Custody Officer (DCO) for Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre. Salary ranges £29,047.20–£31,887.09, with 40 hours per week and 4-on/4-off rotating shifts including days, nights and weekends.

The role includes 24/7 operation, capped overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package such as on-site gym, free meals, parking, uniform, and pension. Training is provided to develop care and custody skills in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Be a UK citizen with indefinite leave to remain or Commonwealth/EEA citizen.
• Have a valid and in-date passport with no stay restrictions in the UK.
• Note: visas in out-of-date passports cannot be accepted as proof of Right to Work in the UK; biometric card with current passport required.
• Have continuously resided in the UK for the past 5 years (no trips overseas longer than 3 months).
• Applicants must not have spent more than 3 months overseas at any one time during the previous 5 years.
• This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; enhanced DBS check and vetting to Counter Terrorist Checked (CTC) if offered.
