Westmorland Homecare is seeking a Care Coordinator in Kendal to lead recruitment and coordination for client support. The role is based in our Kendal office, with standard hours plus an on-call rota on evenings and weekends. A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.

You will manage recruitment campaigns, screen references and DBS checks, and collaborate with care staff and health professionals to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls in a positive, professional manner.
• Manage recruitment strategy from enquiry to onboarding with references and DBS checks.
• Run recruitment advertising across job boards, social media and print.
• Sourcing, planning and attending recruitment events and fairs.
• Develop creative recruitment campaigns to attract quality applicants.
• Support and nurture candidates through the process.
• Maintain complete candidate files and conduct regular audits.
• Participate in on-call rota out of hours.
• Perform other duties as needed to meet business needs.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent • Pay: £29,000.00 per year

Being a Care Coordinator with Westmorland Homecare is a very special job. You will have the chance to make a difference to people’s lives within your community, build significant professional relationships with clients, Home Care Assistants and health care professionals.

The role is based in our Kendal office on Highgate, Monday to Friday, 8am‑4pm and 9am‑5pm. You will also be part of the on‑call rota which involves taking the on‑call phone home on some evenings and weekends. Being a driver is essential for the role.

Duties of the Care Coordinator – Recruitment Coordinator

• Answering incoming calls in apositive, happy,andprofessional manner, making clients, staff, and potential candidates feel special and important
• Overallmanagement and implementation of the recruitment strategy and process from enquiry to onboarding. Ensuring all applicants have fullsatisfactory references andDBS checks in a timely manner
• Managingrecruitment advertising acrossjob boards, social media, andprinted publications alongside our social media manager
• Sourcing, planning and attendingrecruitment fairs, market stalls andcommunity outreach events
• Beingcreative with recruitment campaigns and initiatives and thinking of ways outside the box to attract high quality applicants
• Supporting andnurturing desirable candidates through the recruitment process
• Ensuring new candidatepersonnel files are complete and compliant, including performing6 monthly audits to this effect
• Participate in a share of theon‑call rota out of hours
• Any other activities that may be necessary to meet the needs of the business

Skills and experience required for the role

• Pro active and innovative approach to recruitment in the Health and Social care sector
• You must be comfortable delivering hands on care if required
• You must have a good level of computer / IT proficiency
• You must have a passion to help others, care for people and do something good for the community
• You must have an understanding of safeguarding procedures and protecting clients from harm or abuse
• You must have a good understanding of moving and handling procedures and various types of equipment
• You must be a driver with access to a vehicle
• Being caring and kind with a strong ability to connect with people and build relationships is important
