Job summary

Staffordshire County Council are seeking dedicated people to deliver outstanding care for adults with learning disabilities at Greenfield House. You will act as Key Worker, assess and review personalised support plans, and oversee a team including carers and cooks.

The role requires flexible shifts across the week and may involve weekends and bank holidays. This position involves promoting independence, facilitating community access, and upholding high standards of care in a dynamic residential

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience administering medication.
• Understanding needs of people with learning disabilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety in social care including staffing ratios.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting vulnerable adults.
• Experience with care planning and reviews and evidence of achieving personalised outcomes.
• Knowledge of person-centred support, active support model and strengths-based approaches.
• Knowledge of risk management and positive risk taking.
• Experience managing staff including supervision and performance.
• Experience promoting community participation and inclusion for people with care and support needs.
• Enthusiasm about working with people with learning disabilities and autism.
• ICT skills to complete digital record keeping.
• Effective communication and written English and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Worker to assess, develop, implement, and review person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
• Oversee medication administration and safe handling of medications.
• Attend to individuals' personal and other care needs.
• Manage and supervise a staff team including rotas,absence management, training and leave.
• Undertake audits and act on audit outcomes.
• Be responsible for resolving problems and ensuring the smooth running of the service.
