Staffordshire County Council is recruiting for a diverse social care role at Greenfield House, a residential care home for adults with learning disabilities. You will lead person-centred support, manage medication, and supervise a small team, contributing to community participation and an outstanding CQC rating.

Expect flexible shifts, enhanced DBS requirement, and pre-employment health assessment as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification (minimum)
• Experience with administering medication
• Knowledge of needs of people with learning disabilities
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in social care settings
• Knowledge of legislative/regulatory frameworks affecting vulnerable adults
• Knowledge of care planning and reviews and outcomes
• Knowledge of person-centred support and strengths-based approaches
• Experience in managing staff, supervision and performance

Responsabilités

• Act as a Key Worker to assess, develop, implement, and review person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure safe handling of medications.
• Attend to individuals' personal and other care needs.
• Manage and supervise a staff team including rotas, absence management, training, and leave.
• Undertake audits and act on audit outcomes.
• Ensure smooth running of the service and resolve problems.
