Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Coordinator in Cosham, permanent full-time, to support the Branch Care Manager and coordinate carers, customers and the community. You will ensure visits are well-planned and care plans are up to date, with local impact and professional growth opportunities.

This role requires strong communication, regulatory understanding, and a people-first approach, plus a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

• Experience in the care sector, ideally in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of CQC/CIW regulatory standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across the local area.
• Allocate carers effectively to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
• Complete supervisions and observations on time to support carers’ development.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new carers to strengthen branch capacity.
• Review and update care plans reflecting customer needs and wellbeing.
• Identify opportunities to grow the branch and engage with the community.
• Champion excellent customer service in every interaction.
• Support on-call duties per branch rota.

As a Care Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of keeping extraordinary care running smoothly. Working closely with your Branch Care Manager, you’ll support carers, customers and the wider community, making sure every visit is well-planned, every team member feels supported, and every customer receives care they can truly rely on.

What you’ll do

• Support your Branch Care Manager to deliver exceptional care across your local area.


• Allocate carers effectively so customers receive consistent, high-quality support.


• Complete supervisions and observations on time, helping carers grow and maintain great practice.


• Help recruit and onboard new carers, strengthening the branch’s capacity and community impact.


• Review and update care plans so they reflect each customer’s needs, preferences and wellbeing.


• Look for opportunities to grow the branch, supporting local engagement and commercial activity.


• Champion brilliant customer service, ensuring every interaction feels considered and kind.


• Support on-call duties in line with the branch rota.

What you’ll bring
