Job summary

Prestige Nursing & Care Greater Manchester is recruiting a Care Coordinator to join the Manchester branch. You will coordinate care packages and staff rosters to ensure continuity of care, working closely with Account Managers, Nurses, Recruitment, Compliance and Staff Welfare teams.

Qualifications

  • Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of complex care, including brain and spinal injury support, delivering person‑centred services.

  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a wider team.

We are currently recruiting for a Care Coordinator to join our busy branch team in Manchester.

This is a key role within the branch, responsible for coordinating care packages, managing staff rotas, ensuring continuity of care, and supporting both clients and care staff. The successful candidate will work closely with Account Managers, Nurses, Recruitment, Compliance, and Staff Welfare teams to ensure the highest standards of care and service delivery are maintained.

Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive salary of £28,000 – £32,000, depending on experience, with the opportunity to increase earnings through bonus schemes
  • 4-day working week with flexible hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm
  • Early 4:00pm finish on Fridays (subject to rota)
  • Quarterly performance bonus and end-of-year bonus
  • £10 per week phone allowance
  • Wellbeing days and regular team social events
  • Reduced working hours between Christmas and New Year, with full pay maintained
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Care Coordination & Scheduling
  • Coordinate and manage care packages, ensuring all client visits are covered safely and efficiently
  • Produce and maintain accurate staff rotas using electronic scheduling systems
  • Match care staff appropriately to client needs, preferences, and care requirements
  • Manage emergency shift cover and respond to last-minute staffing changes
  • Monitor care delivery to ensure continuity and consistency of support
  • Investigate and resolve missed or late calls promptly
  • Work closely with the Recruitment team to identify staffing requirements and resource needs
  • Ensure care packages are staffed effectively while maintaining continuity of care
Client & Staff Support
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, family members, healthcare professionals, and care staff
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and carers
  • Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries, concerns, and requests
  • Support new care package mobilisations and service reviews
  • Communicate rota changes and important client updates to care staff
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is always delivered
Operational & Compliance Support
  • Ensure all care records and documentation are maintained accurately and in line with company procedures
  • Work closely with Compliance and Nursing teams to ensure services remain compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor staff availability and manage rota planning accordingly
  • Support the on-call rota once fully trained and competent in the role
  • Escalate concerns relating to client welfare, safeguarding, staffing shortages, or service delivery where appropriate
  • Assist with audits, quality monitoring, and service reviews
  • Ensure deadlines are met and company processes are consistently followed
Communication & Administration
  • Maintain accurate records within scheduling systems, shared drives, and client databases
  • Produce clear, professional, and accurate written communications
  • Ensure all records are updated promptly following care reviews, incidents, and changes to client requirements

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive approach across all areas of the business
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across all branch departments
