Job summary

TipTopJob in the Diss area is seeking a motivated Care Coordinator to join a leading UK care provider. You will oversee resident care, support staff, and ensure high standards of safety and wellbeing.

The role is permanent and full-time with night shifts. NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care is required; full induction and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' personal care with dignity and promote independence.
• Ensure high-quality care services are consistently provided.
• Assist in residents' environment and day-to-day activities of the home.
• Take responsibility for running the home and wellbeing of staff/residents in the absence of the Manager.
• Organise shifts, administer and record medication, liaise with health professionals, and update care plans.
• Assist with induction, training and supervision of support staff.
• Assist residents with limited mobility using mobility aids and equipment.

Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Care Coordinator to work in an exceptional care home based in the Diss, Ipswich area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This special care home provides care and support to residential, respite and residential dementia individuals.

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care

Key duties include:

• Work as part of a team to maintain the personal care of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence
• Ensure that care services are consistently provided to a high quality standard
• Assist in the care of the residents physical environment and in the general day:day activities of the home
• You will assume responsibility for the running of the home and for the wellbeing of staff and residents in the absence of the homes Manager
• Responsible for organising your shifts, administering and recording medication, liaising with health professionals and recording to the residents computerised care plans
• Assist with the induction, training and supervision of support staff
• Assist residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of mobility aids and personal equipment provided

Preferred skills and experience:

• Experience of supervising a care team
• Ability to show empathy/understanding and experience of the needs of the residents
• Good leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Able to show a can:do attitude always

The successful Care Coordinator will receive an excellent salary of GBP14.45 per hour. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working on night shifts only.
