Job summary

Dignity Funeral Directors is seeking an experienced operations leader to become Funeral Operations Manager for the Walthamstow Care Centre. You will chair a team of funeral operatives, embalmers and supervisors, plan schedules and resources, and ensure every funeral happens on time with dignity and respect.

Salary £45,000 per annum, full-time permanent role, based in East London. You will work closely with funeral directors to deliver seamless, family-focused service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a busy operational or service-led setting.
• Ability to plan staff rotas, vehicles and resources effectively.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and health & safety.
• Excellent communication across sites and teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the Walthamstow Care Centre and lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Plan rotas, vehicles and resources to ensure all funerals run on time.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance and best-practice standards.
• Audit quality, manage budget and supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with funeral directors to deliver joined-up services.
