Job summary

CTRG Limited in Wroxham is seeking a Funeral Care Centre Assistant to join our client’s team. The role offers a Monday to Friday shift from 09:00 to 13:00 with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, and involves caring for funeral vehicles, housekeeping, and supporting bereaved families with compassion.

You will work as part of a close team, follow health and safety procedures, and report to the Care Logistics Management team.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence required.
• Team player with ability to build professional relationships.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and approach challenges.
• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Discretion and empathy in emotional circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Clean Funeralcare vehicles daily, including polish and wax.
• Move ceremonial vehicles within Care Centre grounds (no public roads).
• Assist in housekeeping in public and private areas; report maintenance to a manager.
• Fully prepare coffins for ceremonies.
• Handle floral tributes with care.
• Report to Care Logistics Management and follow instructions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and checks.

Your pay rate and shifts as Care Centre Assistant:

Monday to Friday 09.00am to 13.00pm – £ 12.71 p/h

• Working with other colleagues to promote teamwork to ensure high standards of service delivery.
• Always maintaining a professional and dignified manner.
• Ensuring the use of appropriate equipment and approved manual handling techniques are complied with to eliminate the possibility of accident or injury.
