Job summary

London Borough of Bexley is seeking an organised Brokerage Co-ordinator to support the Brokerage & Commissioning Team in sourcing, arranging and monitoring care placements and support packages for residents. You will collaborate with social workers, providers and finance colleagues to ensure timely, high-quality services.

The role requires strong admin and IT skills, good customer care, and a confidential approach. DBS check is mandatory, and occasional cross-borough work may be required.

Qualifications

• General office and clerical experience.
• Experience of working with the public and delivering good customer care.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including telephone manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, databases and email/diary systems.
• Strong numeric, organisational and prioritisation skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• A tactful and confidential approach when dealing with sensitive information.
• An interest or background in social care (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and coordination support to the Brokerage service.
• Help to source, arrange, and monitor care placements and support packages.
• Work closely with social workers, providers and finance colleagues to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Assist across the Borough as needed to meet service requirements.
