Job summary

Voluntary Service Aberdeen is seeking motivated Support Workers for its Care at Home team in Aberdeen. The role involves helping clients with daily living at home, providing personal care, and promoting independence.

Training and development are offered; experience in care is preferred, but progression into Health & Social Care is welcome. You will work in Bridge of Don, Bucksburn and Dyce, with shifts from early morning to evening.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years of appointment
• Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
• Membership of the PVG scheme

Responsibilities

• Communicating effectively with individuals according to agreed standards and procedures, accessing and updating records in keeping with guidelines
• Keeping a safe and protective environment by following health, safety, and security procedures, including medication and reporting incidents
• Support service users with daily living, provide personal care where needed, uphold dignity and respect
