Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a compassionate care worker to support a client with spinal injury at home in South Shields. You’ll help mobilise around the property, provide personal and social care, and enable participation in outdoor activities and social events.

Shifts include 1 x 10-hour night and 2 x 7-hour day shifts on Sat and Sun; pay rate £14.30 to £14.80 per hour, with DBS enhanced and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Social Care Preferred.
• Experience of working with adults with disabilities preferred.
• Experience dealing with client who have communication difficulties or need additional support desired.
• This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work indepedently.

Responsibilities

• Support client with a spinal injury in their home to help mobilise around the property.
• Provide personal and social care to the client.
• Assist with outdoor activities and social events to promote wellbeing.

This role is supporting our client with a spinal injury in their own home to help mobilise around the property, provide personal and social care, help support to enjoy outdoor activities and attend social events, they enjoy a variety of interests and the right person will provide care, empathy and companionship.
