Job summary

Care Dorset Limited is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support adults across a range of care settings. The role involves assisting with personal care, meals, bathing and mobility, while upholding independence and dignity.

You will contribute to accurate record keeping and work within established care standards in a full-time capacity, with shifts including alternate weekends. Applications from a sensible commuting distance are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care and maintaining client dignity.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Willingness to participate in documentation and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Undertake personal care duties including toileting, washing and manual handling as required.

• Maintain privacy and dignity of clients and support care plans.
• Record observations and relevant information in client records.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for manual handling and infection control.
• Work within the Gold Standards Framework.

Job description

Each day as a Care Assistant is different. You will assist with all aspects of personal care and support for the people we support within the setting.

• Undertake personal care duties as required to the relevant client group which will typically include toileting, washing and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
• Undertake domestic tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
• Support the relevant client group in a way that maintains dignity and privacy
• Participate in the maintenance of essential record keeping, through brief written recording on individual client records
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control
• You would be expected to work within the Gold Standards Framework

This is a full time position, shifts to include alternate weekends
